Who we are
Daily Noor ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS application that provides a daily Quranic reading with reflection, practical actions, and a closing dua. This policy explains our approach to your privacy.
Information we collect
We collect nothing.
The app does not ask for, gather, or record any of the following:

The app requests no permissions at install time. If you choose to enable the optional daily reminder, the app will request permission to send local notifications, which are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device.
Information stored on your device
Some information is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad so the app can function. This data never leaves your device:

The bundled readings database itself
This information is stored in the app's private sandbox on your device and is accessible only to Daily Noor. If you delete the app, all of this data is removed with it.
Network activity
Daily Noor makes no network connections. All readings, translations, fonts, and content are bundled inside the app at the time of installation. The app does not contact any server for content updates, analytics, advertising, or any other purpose. You can verify this by putting your device in airplane mode — the app will continue to work exactly as it does online, because it never needed a connection in the first place.
Third parties
We use no third-party services. Specifically:

No analytics providers (no Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)

No payment processors (the app has no in-app purchases or subscriptions)

The reflective commentary in the app was written with reference to classical Islamic scholarship, including Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Tafsir al-Sadi, and Tafsir al-Jalalayn. The Arabic Quranic text is sourced from the Tanzil verified Uthmani digital text. English translations bundled in the app are Sahih International, Pickthall, and Yusuf Ali. None of these sources are contacted from the app at runtime — all content is bundled at build time.
Children's privacy
Daily Noor is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal information whatsoever, we collect no information from children either. The app complies by default with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and equivalent regulations worldwide.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or hold any personal data, there is nothing for us to show you, export, correct, or delete on request. All data the app uses lives on your device and is under your control. Deleting the app removes all associated data from your device.
You have the right under applicable data protection law (including the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and CCPA) to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data held about you. We confirm that we hold no such data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in any material way, the updated version will be included in a future app update and dated accordingly. Because we collect no data, any changes are likely to be clarifications rather than changes to how your information is handled.
